TOPPING & MOWING
Cutting or topping is an essential part of managing your grassland. Regular topping helps to maintain a good quality grass sward which has many benefits for both your land and/or animals.
We have a choice of mowers and can discuss which one best meets your needs – or arrange a combination of cuts.

SPRINGTINE HARROWING
Harrows are for scratching the turf and soil; weeds like moss or panicle are eliminated and important grasses and herbs get more light and space to grow.

⦁ Fully adjustable for light to very heavy harrowing
ROLLING
Helps to re-level the ground, pushes the soil round the roots of the grass, eliminates molehills etc.

AERATOR
By slitting the ground, aeration helps relieve soil compaction, increases root development and helps drainage.
5 ft. Multi Spike (REDEXIM/CHARTERHOUSE)

up to a depth of 8”
SPRAYING
Weed control for better grass. (The operator has necessary spraying qualifications).
6 metre (20 ft.) boom sprayer with electric controls (GAMBETTI)
Narrower spraying widths are also possible – 2 and 4 metres
FERTILISER SPREADING
Spreading will improve grass growth making it more available for grazing and/or hay.
Spreader/Spinner, 360 litres (KUHN)
Additionally sand and rock salt can be spread.
ROTAVATING
For preparation of ground prior to reseeding, especially useful for heavily worn and compacted gateways etc.
